Georgina Hopson - Griffith Conservatorium, Musical Theatre Headshots

Georgina and a number of her classmates recently came through my doors to have their headshots taken as they all enter their final year of study at the Griffith Conservatorium of Music. All the students required simple white background headshots, and I chose to use the time with the students to capture some simple and fun headshots in a really small space in my studio as a challenge, the results speak for themselves, Ill be sharing all of the students headshots in the coming weeks so keep yours eyes out!

If you're a student needing new headshots, get in touch to find out about some of my great student headshot photography packages and discounts to help get you started with your career in acting.

Caitlin Booth - Brisbane Actress Headshots

Brisbane based actress Caitlin Booth, who coincidentally went to the same primary school as myself, recently approached me to capture new acting headshots as she had graduated from her drama course not long ago. Caitlin chose my Professional Package which is the best value for any actor looking to maximise their time with me, the shoot itself begins in the studio for about 45 minutes and we get through the stock standard white and black background studio headshots before heading outside to capture my iconic natural light headshots!

Libby Parke - Brisbane Headshot Photography by Tyler Alberti

The lovely Libby Parke recently visited me from Gympie to have her headshots updated and we took to the amazing Brisbane Powerhouse to shoot capture some great new headshots.

Tahlia Jade - Fashion Portrait

I recently collaborated with Tahlia Jade to create some fashion inspired portraits to play around with a new lighting toy that I bought - RoundFlash Ring Flash Adapter which I purchased from B+H Photo. It's basically a speed light mounted ring flash adapter, but actually works compared to the other smaller more junky ones such as the Ray Flash or Orbis.

But onto the photography side of things, here some of the images that we captured using just this ring flash, and they were all shot using the Nikon D3s + Nikkor 35mm f1.4G which I found to be the best lens to use to get that "fashion ring flash" sort of look, anything wider would also work as well, but anything tighter than 35mm and you lose that nice big ring catch light that you see in Tahlia's eyes.

Annikki Chand, Brisbane Based Actress

Annikki recently stepped in front of my camera to have some new headshots taken for her online acting profiles and prospective agents now that she is finishing up her acting course.

We had a great time shooting these natural light headshots in West End at my favourite location and we really played around with some different types of images including some wider angled portraits to include more of the environment.

Julius Sacco - Urban Brisbane Actor Headshots

Julius was a fellow student of mine back in high school days and we had lost touch since that time until recently when Julius out of chance found my work online in his search for a new headshot photographer. The stars aligned and we had a fantastic shoot with some of the most amazing light Ive ever shot headshots in. Here is a selection of both Julius's finished images as well as my favourites from the shoot, enjoy.

Julius's Selections

My Favourites

I chose these images because I feel that they are more than just headshots, some of which could just as easily be images used in a fashion campaign.

Sydney Headshot Photography - The University of Sydney

I love shooting headshots in Sydney, and recently I was in Sydney for the YouTube Fan Fest featuring some of the biggest international names on YouTube. One such person is Dr. Derek Muller from the hit YouTube science channel Veritasium

Whilst chatting with Derek, I soon discovered that he had never had a professional headshot or portrait taken before. So I organised a headshot session while we were both in Sydney to get him out of any future trouble!

This is Just a little teaser from our headshot session at The University of Sydney, and we managed to get some great new headshots all over the place. We eventually ended up in the School Of Physics in a teaching lab where I created some headshots that really summed up where Derek is professionally at the moment, tying together science and education to create a confident and energetic portrait!
